The Brief
Amanda has a priority to maintain a healthy lifestyle and makes an effort to do so every day. However, their diet growing up was primarily made up of fast food, refined sugars, and processed junk foods, with little to no fruits or vegetables.

she developed severe acne, and the doctor suggested hormonal birth control or a prescription-strength antibiotic
she researched the connection between skin health and gut health and realized that the severe acne was a symptom of an internal problem.
she changed their diet and lifestyle choices, reducing refined sugars, gluten, alcohol, and ultra-processed foods, swapping out processed vegan products for whole food plant based options, paid more attention to ingredient lists, became more mindful of what they put in and on their body.
she stopped using makeup and harsh chemicals on their face and focused on healing the root cause of the problem.
she developed migraines, digestive issues, painful menstrual cycles, acid reflux and frequent cold and flu symptoms
she started to limit refined sugars, gluten, alcohol and ultra-processed foods, and incorporated more raw fruits and vegetables, juicing, stress management, regular exercise, quality sleep and intermittent fasting.
As a result, she saw her overall health and well-being improve
After 4 years of focus on eating whole plant-based foods, juicing, intermittent fasting, regular exercise, stress management, a positive mindset and time in nature she no longer has to deal with any of the previous issues and her skin is the healthiest it has ever been.
she recommends limiting the consumption of ultra-processed foods and incorporating more whole foods into the diet for better health.
